Affectionately known as the EastEnders Christmas Fairy it was my job to decorate all the sets, interior and exterior for Christmas. 

 

This included sorting all existing decorations to insure that all sets would match previous years continuity.

I worked closely with 4 Designers who's episodes would be spread over the Christmas period ensuring I had the decorations for the episodes they were overseeing. I'd then work with the relevant buyers to ensure we had the necessary decorations.

I also worked closely with the Props department to ensure all decorations and electrical lights were correctly tested and safe to use on set. I also had to ensure all interior sets had matching exterior decoration on the Lot where necessary. 

Some sets were exact continuity from the previous year but other sets I worked with the designers to create new looks. This included a completely new set of decorations for New Year in the Queen Vic.
